We were one of a few Herefordshire organisations selected for a Royal visit, and the only commercial business which the Duchess herself had chosen. Her Royal Highness and a visiting group of dignitaries, including The High Sheriff of Herefordshire The Reverend Lady Lisvane, Lord Lisvane, Lord Lieutenant Dowager Countess of Darnley J.P., Mayor of Hereford Sharon Michael and Councillor Brian Wilcox Chairman of Herefordshire Council were given a tour around Eastside Recycling Facility and were introduced to members of staff within the company.
It was a proud occasion for Directors Sue and Andrew as they were introduced to the Duchess and escorted her during the visit. The Duchess enquired about the family business’s farm-yard roots and development through to its current position as a significant employer in the County, where it fulfils a hugely important role as the principal recycling facility.
After the visit, Andrew and Sue have said “The glowing feedback we have received back from The Duchess and all the other dignitaries is a testament to the work and dedication shown by all our staff, who not only contributed greatly to the success of the visit, but also whose efforts have helped achieve the current profile of the business and continue to help it grow”.
