Wye Valley Metals is the leading processor of scrap metal in the Herefordshire area and surrounding counties.
As of 3rd December 2012, we are required by law to verify a supplier’s name and address. We must see and keep a copy of either:
- A valid United Kingdom Photocard Driver’s Licence
OR
- a valid United Kingdom or EEA passport or a valid UK biometric immigration document which bears the supplier’s full name, photograph and date of birth
AND one of the following supporting documents which bears the supplier’s full name and residential address and has been issued less than three months before receipt of the scrap metal:
- a bank or building society statement
- a credit or debit card statement
- a council tax demand letter or statement
- a utility bill (but not a mobile telephone bill)
PLEASE NOTE: WE CAN NO LONGER HAND OUT CASH BUT CAN PROVIDE CHEQUES OR TRANSFERS TO YOUR DEBIT CARD / BANK ACCOUNT.
Just turn up at our site with your scrap metal and valid identification, or contact us first if you need help to bring it in.
Wye Valley Metals operate a fleet of skip & roll On/Off vehicles for collection of scrap metal arisings from manufacturing works, demolition sites and factory. Grab vehicles can be provided if required.
A wide range of skip sizes and shapes are available to meet the client’s individual requirements, as well as vehicles of 18, 26, 32 and 44 tonne gross vehicle weights.
All materials are weighed using our licensed public weigh bridge.
Licensed, calibrated weigh bridge can be used for Public Weighing.
