The Role: We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team at Warehouse 701 as a full-time sales and customer service assistant.

The role will be to focus on the Builders Merchants sector of the business with the opportunity for the individual of put their own mark in developing and growing this part of the business.  

This role will involve both face-to-face customer interaction and time spent updating and maintaining the company’s online presence through social media and eCommerce platforms.

Working a Saturday will be required as a part of a 5-day working week.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing in-store sales using the point of sale till system.
  • Maintaining product catalogue and processing sales orders.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CCDO/CSCS Demolition Operative to be a part of the expanding and diverse Wye Valley Group.

As a well-established demolition company, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality and safe demolition projects.

You will report to the Site Manager and will be based mainly on Demolition sites around Herefordshire and South Wales, and will have the opportunity to travel further when required.

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • CCDO Card (Green, Red or Blue Card)
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Hold a full driving licence (preferred)
  • Non–licensed Asbestos removal training (CAT B)

Core Skills required:

  • Work well within a team
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a demolition environment
  • Work to agreed site RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements)
  • Follow instructions provided by the site supervisor or project manager
  • Good time-keeping and attendance
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Title: CCDO Demolition Supervisor

Job Title: Wash Plant Operative

About us: Hereford Quarries is licensed by the Environment Agency to accept and process inert waste for the production of recycled aggregates and screened soil and operates from our 10-acre site just outside Hereford on the A465 Hereford to Bromyard Road, along with our Upper Lyde Gravel Pit.

The Role: We seek a Wash Plant Operative, based at our Lugg Bridge operation, who will work as part of a small, multi-skilled team to carry out recycling and processing activities at this busy site.

Reporting to the site Operations Supervisor, your main role will be to ensure the smooth production of the day-to-day wash plant operation.

Working collaboratively with the onsite team, you will ensure pre-start-up and daily routine maintenance checks have been completed, ensure all Health & Safety is being adhered to, and effectively manage wash plant materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage with colleagues the correct mixture of raw materials.
  • Operating Wash Plant, ensuring maximum production and minimising down-time
  • Ensuring products produced meet specification standards.
  • Assisting with environmental aspects of the site
  • Maintaining good housekeeping on site
  • Completing general maintenance on wash plant

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will become fully aware of the Company’s Health, Safety, Environmental and quality policies and ensure they are adhered to at all times, contributing to the Company’s ‘Zero Harm’ culture.

You will always work in a safe manner to ensure your own and team members’ safety, and support the Operations Supervisor to continuously improve site operations.

We seek a person with a flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work.

Ideally they will have experience in plant operations to include screening, crushing, washing of aggregates and water management.

However, training and development will be given to candidates who can demonstrate the necessary skills and aptitude to take on this challenging and rewarding role.
