We are the Wye Valley Group

The Wye Valley Group consists of several companies; Wye Valley Metals, Wye Valley Skips, Wye Valley Demolition, Warehouse 701, Auto Breakers, Hereford Quarries, Sigeric Ltd and Hereford Self Storage.

These businesses all have their roots in the previous site at St. Weonards. The late John Howell, Andrew & Sue Howell’s Father, formed the business in 1949 as an agricultural contractor, and then moved into demolition plant and scrap metal merchanting. The business developed until it eventually outgrew its site in the countryside, at which point Andrew and Sue took it on and oversaw the move to the current 35 acre recycling facility on the outskirts of Hereford.

The Group now employs over 120 local staff, and is the single largest waste recycling facility in Herefordshire. We handle national recycling contracts, with companies such as Network Rail, and supply material to steelworks and foundries across the UK. Each individual business supports the others in their operations, and all form part of the recycling chain.
